Wayne is a self-described grumpy old man, but he's got a good sense of humor and likes people in general. He can be a bit of a spitfire, and he doesn't always know when to quit, but his heart's in the right place. He's 90 years old, widowed with a daughter to his legacy, and an expert mechanical engineer and linguist.
Friends/Co-Workers: Most of Wayne's friends are simply acquaintances he's met around town or his co-workers. A number of his friends from the past (both Air Force and otherwise) are long since dead, and while he does like having people around to chat with, he can be a little distant sometimes. But his friendly nature tends to overcome most obstacles in the end, even to the point of making friends with the student's he's recruited.
Friends/Amicable Co-Workers & Students:
Dr. Sean Neville
Ash Anderson
Enemies: Whoo, can this bad boy get some. Wayne's temper is pretty level, but he does tend to jump into other people's business when he thinks people are going to get hurt otherwise. That and his gruff nature can rub people the wrong way, in addition to his very firm moral values. He's not a preacher, but he does hold people to a pretty high standard, which can make some students mighty annoyed with him.

Family: Wayne has little in the way of family left, given that his wife has passed away and his daughter lives with her husband in Germany. However, he does have room in his heart and home for another child or two to run around, should someone need a place to stay for a while. It's thoroughly possible that his daughter does have a child somewhere around, and if she does, they're welcome to come see him whenever they like. (Same goes for his son-in-law's family, though Wayne rarely sees them due to his incompatibility with air travel.)

Romance: Ever since Wayne's wife passed away, he's been very uninterested in any sort of love life at all. Perhaps being too old has something to do with it, or loving his wife too much; but the reality is that Wayne's asexual and aromantic. Any romantic-type relationship would be entirely superficial and involve simple companionship and nothing more.
Romantic Status: Widowed - not dating
Ricky is a genial fellow with lots of interesting stories to tell. He's a bad luck magnet and works at Hammel mostly because it makes him feel normal some days (just kidding - he loves his job). Despite having a job that seems designed for the introverted, however, he's quite easy-going and very personable. He's 48 years old, single, and a wonderful ball of Irish humor and math puns.
Friends/Co-Workers: Ricky can make friends with damn near anyone and will do so gladly. He's not the most memorable person unless someone sees him in the midst of one of his "bad luck trips", but he's always a fun person to talk to. He's also the kind of guy that just about anyone can sit down and have a beer with, and if you love sports you're into the right fellow.
Friends/Amicable Co-Workers:
Dr. Sean Neville
Enemies: While not a very easy guy to make mad or even rile up at all, Ricky does have a penchant for causing minor disasters wherever he goes. Sometimes, this ends well - sometimes not so much. Sometimes, it leads to bar fights or other forms of distaste towards the well-being of his person. That being said, there's probably a couple people in Pilot Ridge who set their jaws and brace for impact whenever Ricky O'Cassidy walks by.
Enemies:
None currently
Family: RICKY'S FAMILY IS ENORMOUS. That being said, there are literally a TON of people that share his family name, let alone are related by marriage or some other such family tie. If you want to play someone related (even distantly) to him, Ricky's more than happy to put up with family for as long as it takes. Because hey; that's what family does.
Family Members at Hammel:
None... yet.
Romance: Ricky had a fiance once, but she broke off their engagement after they'd been together for three years. It was a whirlwind thing, and he still cares about her, but he's more than moved on since then. After all, it was fifteen years ago. He's straight as an arrow and more than willing to provide for a family, so if you're interested, be sure that kids are at least on the table for discussion.
Romantic Status: Single
Bonus Trivia: Threads started by Ricky will have Disney/Don Bluth/Pixar/etc. quotes as titles.
Vincent Meian is a powers trainer at Hammel. He arrived in Pilot Ridge with his family after his oldest manifested, enabling him to continue teaching after leaving Eisai Gakko and ultimately Japan. While he did have an extended leave of absence two years ago after a powers mishap, he has continued his work with as much vigor and creativity as before he left. He is 46, married, has two daughters, and has studied philosophy and religion/mythos extensively.
Students: Being that Vincent is a trainer, he needs students to teach. Any student is fine, though he specializes in emotive powers like his own; additionally, he has a proclivity towards students who have personal difficulties, such as anger management or fear of one's powers. He has a strong tendency towards parenting his students in the latter case, so be aware that his C-Box title of Best Dad(TM) may be inflicted upon said hapless teens.

Former Students:
None Listed
Friends/Co-Workers: While he doesn't go out of his way to make friends, Vincent does enjoy having them, especially since a large number of the ones of his past are either in Japan or out of touch in other ways. He speaks easily to other teachers, and people with similar hobbies (though finding them is often out-of-his-way and so he doesn't often try to look).
Friends/Amicable Co-Workers:
Dr. Sean Neville
Suekeichi Minamori
Enemies: Vincent is kind of stand-offish and cool towards people he doesn't really know and tends toward being very professional at work, giving him a sort of cold air towards strangers. This causes a few disconcerting moments, but rarely anything serious. On the other hand, anyone who is anti-military, anti-meta, or a meta-supremacist could easily find themselves on the other end of his temper. He tends to have some very serious views on crime and punishment as well, and while he's not a vigilante, he's been known to dole out equal retribution for a conceived slight.
He has a few enemies from back in Japan, though he has mostly forgotten all of them by now.
Enemies/Unfriendly Co-Workers/Hostile Students:
None Currently
Family: Vincent's ancestry is largely a mystery to him, though he does have a journal that talks about a twin sister he has. He also has a number of foster families that once claimed him, but they've never kept in contact with him, so he largely writes them off as old acquaintances rather than "family". His current family is all at Hammel, though, and he's happy for it... even if he's having some difficulties with his oldest right now. He loves them all dearly and is extremely protective, even if he doesn't always know how to express it.
Family Members at Hammel:
Dr. Nakia Kenjutsushi (wife)
Appoline Meian (older daughter)
Cassiopeia Meian (younger daughter)
Hatsuharu Kenjutsushi (brother-in-law)
Romance: Vincent is married and loves his wife dearly, therefore is not really looking for any other romantic involvement. That being said, he is pansexual and poly-romantic, so minor hidden crushes and the occasional subtle flirting is not beyond him (especially if he drinks a little too much). One-sided crushes are acceptable as well, as he can be completely clueless when someone is "giving him signs".
Romantic Status: Married - Dr. Nakia Kenjutsushi
Bonus Trivia: Threads started by Vincent will have song titles or puns as titles.
Nakia "Nik" Kenjutsushi is the on-call doctor Hammel Institute, having transferred from a Japanese general hospital when her family moved. She loves to read bad romance books and manga, and very much unlike her husband in that she is a walking hurricane in the kitchen. She is 42 years old, mother of two, and is a cool and calculating product of her field.
Patients: Every doctor has patients, some of whom appreciate their physician and some of whom do not. While she is little more than a school nurse now, Nik still retains her medical license and all of its benefits. Anyone needing regular physicals, examinations, or prescriptions is just as important to her as those who need immediate medical attention.
Current/Former Patients:
None Listed
Co-Workers: Unlike her husband, Nik happily makes friends at Hammel by virtue of the school being just that; a school. She gained the moniker Koorina-o, or "Lady Ice" from her previous hospital due to her implacable calm and seeming lack of empathy with her patients and co-workers. Despite the fact that she cares for her patients dearly, her mentality requires the separation of emotions from powers and so the name stuck. Given the warmth of the Institute and the people around her, especially when she needed them the most, her icy demeanor has thawed considerably and left her open to more amicable relationships.
Co-Workers:
Dr. Sean Neville
Friends and Neighbors: Outside of work, Nik is a sweet woman capable of many feats of hospitality and generosity. She gets along with local people easily and will talk with nearly anyone (as long as they're not a jerk). She is part of the town's Garden Society, and is always up for an excuse to have a good time.
Friends/Acquaintances:
None Currently
Enemies: As if being a doctor and a meta weren't enough to get her into trouble, Nik's cold and slightly abrasive personality when working can cause no small amount of strife with ex-patients or their families. She doesn't let herself care about people's feelings during her work (because that can cause more harm than good sometimes), so people are often out to excise her from the medical community. So far, nothing has held up against her exemplary record of recovery, but one never knows...
Enemies:
None Currently
Family: Nakia doesn't talk much about her parents or extended family; as far as she knows, her mother and father are both still alive, but she hasn't been in contact with them since attending Eisai. Her family now is what matters most to her, and while her past catching up isn't as frightening as it once was, it's still a point of drama should it happen.
Family at Hammel:
Vincent Meian (husband)
Appoline Meian (older daughter)
Cassiopeia Meian (younger daughter)
Hatsuharu Kenjutsushi (younger brother)
Romance: Nik is happily married, and does not share her husband's open views. While she is not the jealous type to get irritated at his mildly flirty ways, she is steadfast in her loyalty. A one-sided crush or an aggressive suitor would be hilarious, but outside romance is mostly a no for this character.
Romantic Status: Married
Bonus Trivia: Threads started by Nakia will have song/romance titles or medical terms as titles.
Appoline was once a cripplingly shy transfer student at Hammel, but her demeanor has shifted to a much icier form of silence over the past two years. Provided that they can get past her newly-acquired prickly shell, she's passionate and depressed in equal measure, and is self-loathing for a number of reasons. Appoline is 19, oldest daughter of Vincent and Nakia, and a quirk of genetics who wants only to be normal.
Friends: Appoline needs them. She is horribly self-contained and cloistered, and though her interests are pretty varied she rarely shows them to anyone. Her prickliness of late has distanced her even from the few friends she could have claimed to have, and while assertive or persistent people once could wear her down, she is more often disarmed by earnest and tentative behavior. She is protective, however; once someone has made her aware of them and they're in trouble, she will stand for them where she would never have for herself.
Friends/Classmates:
Irving Coley, Jr.
Enemies/Rivals: Appoline's been picked on before simply for being different. Granted, that's mostly due to the nature of Japan's culture, but she still expects it from other students. Her relatively recent attitude and hyperfocus on her grades may also put her on the bad end of people, especially those who think their charm wins the day every time.
Current Hostilities:
George Fleming, Jr.
Family: The oldest daughter of her clan, Appoline feels inadequate and inept when it comes to her family. She grew up being afraid of her parent's powers consuming them, a fear realized with her father's sudden departure from the school. She also understands her position in a perfectionist society, and where once her relatives' unrelenting love and compassion for her shored up her self image, it now feels claustrophobic. She still gets on amicably with her sister, but the adults in her life (and their worry) rank themselves untrustworthy at the moment.
Family at Hammel:
Vincent Meian (father)
Dr. Nakia Kenjutsushi (mother)
Cassiopeia Meian (younger sister)
Hatsuharu Kenjutsushi (uncle)
Romance: Appoline has an unexplored sexuality, mostly because she views her genes as cursed and doesn't even want to think about passing them on to another generation. That is not to say that a relationship is not feasible - quite the contrary, I would very much enjoy a budding romantic relationship over her time at Hammel. Any and all sexualities will be accepted for exploration, as will non-sexual but romantic relationships.
Romantic Status: Single
Bonus Trivia: Threads started by Appoline will have song/anime titles as titles.
